More Young Players Take Part in Online Bingo

Friday 4th June, 2010

Bingo is a game that has the stigma of being favoured only by older players. It is common to see your mother or grandmother playing the game, so many teenagers and young adults have steered clear of playing bingo in land-based halls – but online bingo is changing the demographics of the activity.

Since the first online bingo website was launched, players recognized that the game presented great opportunities for socialization. Over the years, various online bingo websites have gained social populations that rival even the biggest social networking sites like Facebook. According to recent studies, the average housewife spends 47% of her day on social networking sites and playing online bingo games while 32% of students do the same.

Other studies reference the volume of players rather than the time spent playing. According to one bingo review website, middle-aged women present one of the biggest popular of online bingo players while another site states that young adults (aged 18-24) make up 20% of the total online bingo population in the UK.

Whatever age group you belong to, online bingo is becoming an increasingly popular activity, as it presents players with a great opportunity to meet new friends while vying for the chance to win great cash prizes. It’s no wonder that over 3 million in the UK log in every day to play online bingo!
