A recent study has revealed that nearly half of all online bingo players still attend games in land-base halls.
The new study, which took data from a wide variety of online bingo websites, found that 42% of all players registered at online bingo sites continue to partake in land-based bingo games, as well. While t he common myth is that online bingo is taking players away from land-based halls, its most dedicated fans continue to stay true to the roots of the game.
9% of the interviewees stated that they had never played bingo in land-based halls, however. This is because online bingo presents a more easily-accessible option to players who may not the means or time to travel to a traditional bingo hall. The online version opens up doors to a more diverse population, increasing the overall population of bingo players at both online bingo sites and land-based bingo halls.
Additionally, the number of patrons that attend land based halls has risen by 11%. This indicates that online bingo has possibly converted online players to traditional bingo players. These results should act as an indicator that online bingo is not a harmful entity to the land-based bingo industry.
