Gambling Developers Set Sights on Google Android

Mobile gambling has always been a point of contention for online casino software designers, but now telephone service providers have become more lenient. It has opened many doors for casino operators, and they have begun launching mobile gaming applications for a wide range of smart phones and mobile devices.

Previously, Apple Computers was wary of the idea of offering online bingo and other online betting games to its iPhone customers. However, it wasn’t long before the company saw the profitability in the industry and began allowing operators to produce gambling applications for use on its devices. Now, bingo and other online games can be played on iPhone and iPads.

Next, online casino developers are going after the second largest population of mobile phones: Androids. These Google-powered phones are becoming increasingly popular, giving the iPhone a run for its money. Operators have noticed this trend and are preparing games for these devices. Andoirds have the same functionality as iPhones, so these new applications will run in a very similar manner – if not in a more efficient way.

The only smart phone that is currently untouched by the online gambling industry remains the Blackberry. Because the product is so heavily targeted at professionals, it seems that operators have come to the conclusion that leisure applications would not be a profitable endeavor.
