Individuals who have applied for tickets to the 2012 London Olympics are becoming increasingly confused about the process. Those who paid by cheque were under the impression that they were awarded all of the tickets for which they applied. However, this was not the case.
For those applicants who used their credit cards to pay for the tickets, the exact cost of awarded tickets was removed from their accounts. Individuals paying via cheque noticed that the cost for all of their tickets was debited, leading them to believe that the received all of the tickets they applied for.
Unfortunately, this was not the case. Those who paid by cheque will have to wait until the 24th of June to find out which tickets they have received.
Over £10 million worth of orders have been processed. All overpayments will be refunded throughout July; however, the process may begin sooner. At the latest, cheque payments will be refunded by July 31st.
However, more than a quarter of a million people that applied for tickets will receive nothing. Fortunately, there are rumours circulating that second-chance tickets will go on sale over the summer.
